The Legend Of Malin Kundang

Long time ago, in a tiny town near the coastline in West Sumatera, lived a female and her son, Malin Kundang. Malin Kundang’s father had actually died when he was a child, as well as he had to live tough with his mom. Malin Kundang was a healthy, diligent, and also strong kid. He generally went to the sea to capture fish, as well as brought it to his mommy, or offered it in the community.

One day, when Malin Kundang was cruising customarily, he saw a vendor’s ship which was being raided by a tiny band of pirates. With his take on and also power, Malin Kundang beat the pirates. The merchant was so happy and also asked Malin Kundang to cruise with him, "Hey Malin Kundang, Im so happy to see you beat the pirates, then will you cruise with me?". Malin Kundang said "Im agree with you", the Merchant said "Thank you Malin Kundang"

Several years later on, Malin Kundang ended up being a wealthy seller, with a substantial ship, lots of trading goods, numerous ship crews, as well as a beautiful wife. In his journey, his ship arrived on a coastline. The citizens recognized him, and the news ran quick in the community: Malin Kundang came to be an abundant male and now he is right here. In deepful sadnees his mother ran to the beach , when the mom came, Malin Kundang said to her “Enough, old female! I have actually never ever had a mom like you, an unclean and also ugly peasant!” After that he bought his teams to set out.

Angered, she cursed Malin Kundang that he would certainly turn into a stone if he didn’t apologize. it was far too late for Malin Kundang to said sorry. And instantly transformed into rock.

My last holiday was very boring, after waking up I immediately rushed to take a shower and I had a breakfast, this time I cooked my own breakfast because my mother was out of town with my father, I cooked my favorite crispy chicken, crispy chicken with delicious spicy sauce. After that I went to my room to play hand phone and watch film, the film titled "Black list" came from Thailand and the film was quite interesting, it took 3 hours to watch the movies, after that I prayed. At 1 o'clock I immediately fell asleep on the mattress until 4 o'clock, after that I immediately ate, this time my food was made by my sister, my sister made pretty good fried rice, after eating, I immediately prayed, and prepared books for school tomorrow, yes I was lazy to go to school at that time because it's been 2 weeks I woke up late.

At night, my mother and my father returned home with 1 bag of fruit, 1 bag of cookies, and 1 bag of chicken, I'm so happy. Because it was too late to cook, my family finally decided to go outside to eat grilled chicken. I finished eating grilled chicken very quickly, after that my family went home at 9 pm, and when I go to sleep, for some reason my eyes don't want to rest and I just want to play with my handphone, I chatting with my schoolmates, her name is tata and intend to play together, but until now I write this, me and my friend ( tata ) haven't played hahahaha... I finally fell asleep at 12 p.m.

Amazing Structure
Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal is a monument located in Agra, India. It was built on the wishes of the Mughal Emperor Shāh Jahān, son of Jahangir, as a musoleum for the Persian wife, Arjumand Banu Begum, also known as Mumtaz-ul-Zamani or Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture.

In its harmonious proportions and its fluid incorporation of decorative elements, the Taj Mahal is distinguished as the finest example of Mughal architecture, a blend of Indian, Persian, and Islamic styles. One of the most beautiful structural compositions in the world, the Taj Mahal is also one of the world’s most iconic monuments, visited by millions of tourists each year. The complex was designated a UNESCOWorld Heritage site in 1983.

A tradition relates that Shah Jahān originally intended to build another mausoleum across the river to house his own remains. That structure was to have been constructed of black marble, and it was to have been connected by a bridge to the Taj Mahal. He was deposed in 1658 by his son Aurangzeb, however, and was imprisoned for the rest of his life in Agra fort

Two notable decorative features are repeated throughout the complex: pietra dura and Arabic calligraphy. As embodied in the Mughal craft, pietra dura (Italian: “hard stone”) incorporates the inlay of semiprecious stones of various colours, including lapis lazulijadecrystalturquoise, and amethyst, in highly formalized and intertwining geometric and floral designs. The colours serve to moderate the dazzling expanse of the white Makrana marble. Under the direction of Amānat Khan al-Shīrāzī, verses from the Qurʾān were inscribed across numerous sections of the Taj Mahal in calligraphy, central to Islamic artistic tradition. One of the inscriptions in the sandstone gateway is known as Daybreak and invites the faithful to enter paradise. Calligraphy also encircles the soaring arched entrances to the mausoleum proper. To ensure a uniform appearance from the vantage point of the terrace, the lettering increases in size according to its relative height and distance from the viewer.

the taj mahal at sunrise. The southern end of the complex is graced by a wide red sandstone gateway with a recessed central arch two stories high. White marble paneling around the arch is inlaid with black Qurʾānic lettering and floral designs. The main arch is flanked by two pairs of smaller arches. Crowning the northern and southern facades of the gateway are matching rows of white chattris , 11 to each facade, accompanied by thin ornamental minarets that rise to some 98 feet (30 metres). At the four corners of the structure are octagonal towers capped with larger chattris.

QUESTION!
1. where is the location of Taj Mahal?

2. when was taj mahal made a world heritage by unesco?

3. what is special about taj mahal?

4. tell the beginning of the name of the taj mahal!

5. how many meters tall is a thin ornamental minarets tower?
